The United States Grand Prix Racers Union and The Cleveland Motor Media Group will offer The @thletic Xpression Communication Clinic® at the upcoming USGPRU round at Summit Point Raceway on Sunday, 25 May, 2008.

The @theletic Xpression Communication Clinic is a media skills development training program that prepares motorsport participants for media interviews over PA systems, on radio programs, in articles for web or print and in front of television cameras. The clinic is comprised of lecture, demonstration, workbook, exercise and critique activities.

The @thletic Xpression Communication Clinic (@XCC) is the same training provided to all athletes in the Red Bull AMA US Rookies Cup at Barber Motorsports Park on March 25th of 2008. @XCC is a nationally available communications, public speaking and media skills training program that is presented on two tiers and in five different forms for Motorsport, Athletic, Technical, Sales and Executive participants. Training for @XCC is offered by motorsport broadcaster Griff Allen – co-host of ESPN`s Bidding Wars and part of the Speed broadcast team covering The AMA Superbike Championship Series.

Tuition for this @XCC session is sponsored by The USGPRU for all USGPRU license-holders who are registered for at least one USGPRU race during the race weekend. @XCC sign-up for USGPRU licensed and registered participants is required and will open at 8am on Sunday May 25th and will close at the final checkered flag of the day. This sign-up will occur at the USGPRU paddock headquarters location. Non-USGPRU licensed or registered participants are most welcome to attend based upon space availability up to the class maximum. Signup for non-USGPRU licensed or registered participants will open at the final checkered flag of the day and will close five minutes prior to the start of the class. This sign-up will occur at the class location. Tuition for non-USGPRU licensed or registered participants is $25 and is payable at the time of registration by cash only.

The two-hour session will start 30 minutes following the final checkered flag of the day. Attendees are invited to enjoy their personally-provided evening meal during the training. @XCC is currently scheduled to take place in the Registration Office, but participants are asked to remain alert for the announcement of a possible location change.
